premiere Elements 7

Hi

i have now managed to capture media from my sony camera avchd using the sceneline however, when I have edited the movie and playback the movie it is jumpy - start stop, and the audio (voices) does not match the movie. The picture is clear as is the audio.

My pc has the necessary spec for prem 7.

But does it meet the spec for AVCHD editing??? To have a smooth editing experience with AVCHD you need ideally a quad core processor or a fast dual core, otherwise the playback from the timeline will be jumpy. Note this is the same with any editor working with AVCHD.

Our FAQs explain you'll need at least a quad core processor to edit AVCHD in Premiere Elements.

In addition to Paul LS' comment on CPU horsepower, a fast I/O (read hard drives and controller here) system will help greatly. AVCHD requires a stout system to edit and playback. Most out there are just not up to the task, unfortunately.

Good luck,
