Zooming Effects in ''Eight Cities in 4...

I've seen a contest winner on the Muvipix.com website ''Eight Cities in 4 days'' and was wondering how does the editor achieve the effect of still images zooming at different speeds and/or angles? I've always wanted to know how to do this.



Can anyone please offer any advice or example project files for me to play with? Cheeky I know but I ust thought I'd ask.

Zooming Effects in ''Eight Cities in 4...
I created layers by cutting objects out of the background of the photo and then used the clone effect in Photoshop Elements to fill in the background. I then used After Effects to give the animation. However you can achieve a similar effect in Premiere Elements by putting the various layers on different tracks and zooming (using the Scale effect under Motion) at different speeds for the different layers. You could use the Basic 3d or Corner Pin effect to give the different angles.

I was hoping to hear from you. I've lloking at creating the same effect for sometime now and have had no idea where to start. I was also told the effect is done at the shooting stage and not in the editing stage(?)



I read somewhere that you have a tutorial on this effect ... is that true?



I've not used Photoshop Elements as of yet but do have it installed so I'll have to try and give it a go on a very simple image that I have. However any tip, tricks or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is all done in the editing stage. So I cut foreground objects out of the background... infact some photos were split into 4 or 5 layers each one animated. As I said it can be achieved to some extent in Premiere Elements, see this ''Ken Burns 3D'' effect tutorial:
