The XP installation of Premiere Elements 7 created to folders on my Desktop that are consuming about 3.5GB of disk space. I'm assuming most of the Adobe code is in Program Files (I did not change the installation location) so I don't understand why these 2 folders were put on my desktop. I never save anything there. These are the folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\Bruce Chastain\Desktop\Adobe Premiere Elements 7
C:\Documents and Settings\Bruce Chastain\Desktop\Adobe Premiere Elements 7 Templates\Templates
I bought it online and I have what I downloaded saved elsewhere.
Is it safe to delete these 2 folders?
Bruce.
Safe to delete these directories?
You need to burn the files that are in those folders to DVD first for backup, which you have done. So yes you can delete them. I deleted mine. I actually created a installation DVD from the install files that were extracted from those 7z whatever files.

I presume that these are your download folders, in which case if you have saved the contents to another folder or a DVD then you can delete them.
Thanks Robert and Peter! I burned a DVD with them and then deleted them.
Bruce.
