Is it possible to take multiple individually edited projects and bring them together into one project to burn on a DVD? Another case is that I put multiple edited clips in one project and would like to separate them into individual projects... can I copy and paste edited clips from one project to another?

You can export from multiple projects, File/Export/Movie, and import the resulting AVI files into a 'Master' project.



You can also export clips from a project timeline using the Work Area Bar, then use those exported AVI files to start a new project or add to an existing project.



Doing these exports and imports will not hurt the video quality.

b Separating multiple AVCHD clips on the video line



Hello



I started recently working with PRE7 to do AVCHD small films and clips



When I say 'get file' it's the file with extension m2ts from SONY which comes and I put it down on the video line.



My problem is that when I want to put a second file on the video line then it goes automatically with the first one in the same place and not separated. The same thing with more files.



There is also a small sign on the top right side of each clip.



Do I do something wrong?

How do I do this. I want to export one clip from the timeline to an AVI file. What is the work area bar?

The best way to see the WAB (Work Area Bar), is to hit the ''\'' key. The Timeline will zoom out, so that you see all of it. Now, look to the time ruler on the Timeline, at the top. There is a bar with a down-facing ''bracket'' at each end and a square box in the middle. You can drag the brackets in toward the center. After you have found it, and moved the brackets, you can zoom in to place it exactly where you want it. You can slide it, via the brackets. Once set, where you want it, you can Export (choosing Work Area Bar), or Render just that part, by hitting the Enter key.



When you wish for the WAB to once again cover the entire Timeline, Dbl-click on that little square bar in the center. The WAB will extend to the length of the Timeline.

It's a great tool for isolating areas of your timeline and video project for both export and for functions like rendering.

I do not think that I have seen Chuck's tutorials, but if he does not mention one little ''problem,'' let me do so. If you have set the WAB to less than the entire Timeline, make sure that you reset it, or check that you wish to Export the Entire Project. Every now and then, I'll forget and not look carefully enough, and Export just the WAB, when I want the entire Sequence. Since I use P-Pro and Export my Audio via the Adobe Media Exporter (AME), I know I've messed up, when my AC3 file Exports in seconds, rather than minutes. Just Dbl-click the center block in the WAB and it'll expand to cover everything. Just a little caution.
