How do I burn a disk for playing in...

Hi,

I have Premiere 7. The video was taken on a Sony miniDV camera. I have edited it. It is about an hour long.

do I need special DVD's? i know you can set it up for non-us/japan when you start but not sure how to do it now that it is finished.

DVd is for both US and Germany

Thanks

Sarah

If your project is set up at PAL TV and is from a PAL camcorder, it will, by default, burn a PAL DVD.

But if it was shot and made in NTSC TV, that still may not be a problem. Most European DVD players can also play NTSC discs. Not all, but most.

The TV also has to sync to the 60 fields per second. Most modern PAL TVs should do that.

Thanks so for the most part they shouldn't have a problem with the NTSC disks sarah

PE 7 allows you to burn DVDs in PAL mode. I have done this several times with no complaints. Go to the Share area and it is self-explanatory.

Saving a 30i NTSC project as 25i PAL would involve some loss of quality compared to viewing a NTSC DVD on PAL equipment (provided it works at all, of course).
