Putting a still image in a menu frame

Hello,

I am making a DVD menu using a standard template. There is a frame in the template to take a still image. When I put an image in this frame only part of the original still is shown. I have tried resizing the image but to no effect.

Can anyone advise how I can get the whole image, or at least the part I want shown, in the frame?

Thank you

Jim

Are you saying that you're replacing an entire background for a template or that this is a template with a drop zone (Place Video Here placeholder)?

Most drop zone templates have an area you should be able to resize your photo to fit. Other templates may have foreground graphics that can get in the way and partially obscure the background.

Which are you seeing?

It is a template with a drop zone into which I am dragging a photo. Only part of the photo is shown in the drop zone.

The template is the ''Family Memories'' one in the Memories templates. Although I am adding a still phot, the option to add a still image or a video clip is greyed out.

Thanks

Jim

Forget about the option to add a still frame, that does work if adding a clip - but, again only part of the frame is shown. I need to resize the still image to fit the frame.

I have found out how to do it! How disscussion stimulates the brain to work!

When I click on the image frame, movable borders appear. It threw me that these were outside the border of the frame itself (around the whole template) so I didn't realise that the could be used to re-size! All is now well.

Thanks

Jim

Yes, exactly! Glad I could help stimulate your revelation.

I think your image size is lesser than the drop zone area. Please check the your size of image (Dimensions ) The project dimensions are vary from one to another HD, DV. Please check the dimension of image before drag and drop the into dropzone area.
