Premiere Elements shuts down without...

I've spent over a week working on this one file in Premiere Elements. I burned it before and now when I go to burn either to dvd or to folder it shuts down the program with no error message. It has happened before but I just opened the file again and was able to burn. Now no matter how often I open the file I can't get it to burn. Can somebody please help me? And I just tried burning some other files and it is doing the same thing so it may not be just this file.

Did you try exporting as a DV-AVI (File%26gt;Export%26gt;Movie) and bringing this into a new project, adding DVD markers/menu and then burning?

Delete all prefrence and change the location of encoding. Encoding location is avaliable in edit %26gt;prefrences. Restart the machine and burn a DVD.

Success---I followed some troubleshooting links and the one that worked was as follows:

4. Re-create the Premiere Elements PluginCache.

The PluginCache is a Windows registry entry that contains information regarding the status of all native and third-party plug-ins used with Premiere Elements. To re-create the file, hold down the Shift key while choosing Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0. Release the key when the Select Initial Workspace window appears.

Thanks for all the help...hard to believe the fix is as simple as holding down the shift key as the progam starts!!

I haven't been able to take a look at this for some time because of work. I tried pressing shitft while starting and that didnt work. I changed the location of the encoding but i didn't know how to delete the preferences and that still didnt work. I dont know what to do anybody have help?

Have you tried Paul's suggestion?

If so, work through the DVD troubleshooting steps in the FAQs at the top of this forum. If you'll post your results in as much detail as possible for each step we'll be better able to diagnose your problem and offer solutions.
