PE 7 fails to load

Hi,

I've just tried to upgrade from PE2 to PE7. My processor is a Celeron running at 2.8GHz and there is 1GB of RAM. PE2 has run satisfactorly with the current system, but I have failed to get PE7 to run at all. I get an error message saying PE7 has encountered a problem and will close. The error message is ''AppName: adobe premier elements.exe AppVer:7.0.0.0 ModName: uiframework.dll ModVer:7.0.0.0 Offset:0015f3c2''

Any ideas? Many thanks John Mathias

I would try doing a Repair install of Premiere Elements. If that doesn't fix it then do an Uninstall and a Reinstall.

I have PRE2 and PRE7 on my machine and did not see that message. You should install PRE2 before PRE7 in case you have been uninstalling and reinstalling those apps.

This recently came up about serious errors when loading PRE but I have my doubts that it's your problem:

This is the only article I could find in the Knowlegebase about UIFramework, and it has to do with version 3.0:

You may need to contact Adobe Tech support.

Here's something else to try that just helped someone:

Thanks, Robert. Tried a uninstall/reinstall and again loadup hangs at loading wavewarp.aex and then program stops. More serious is that when contacting Adobe support, they tell me that my product key is invalid! Even though it works as a serial number during installation. I guess this is an OEM copy that was sold to me as a regular copy. Amen I guess.

Do you have Realtek audio? If so, update your drivers:
