Burning to Folders or DVD devise causes...

I'm using PE 4.0. I can make a mpeg file using the Share - PC options, but every time I try to use the Disc option, the application freezes.. then I get a Vista explore error and the PE application shuts down.

I have a very small video with only stills, transitions added and a few titles. All the photos were resized to ensure they were under the 1000x 750 limit that I read in another trouble shooting discussion

I can share the project as a PC file... I used the MPEG option with the HD720_30 template. It worked great...

I can not use the Disc option to burn direct or to a DVD folder.

Hope you can help

Can you output your movie as a DV-AVI?

If so, do a Save As to make a copy of your project and replace all of your slides and other media on your timeline with this AVI. Then try burning to a folder.

I am a bit confused with your mention of an HDV output. You are burning a standard DVD from standard video footage, right? Otherwise, there could be more going on here.

And, of course, ensure that you have updated to SP1 and performed my recommended maintenance so that your computer is clean and up to date.

And ensure that you've optimized Vista for peak performance, per the FAQs at the top of this forum.
