I should have been more specific. I have PE 4. I want to prepare a slide show for a 1024x768 projector. The show was prepared on a desktop. I want to transfer it from the desktop to a laptop with a dvd. Bluray is not an option. PE 4 is not on the laptop. Anyway playing it from the preview window of PE 4 is not an option because it is too blury.

You're probably not going to be able to do what you want with Premiere Elements.



A much better solution, in this case, is Pro Show Gold.

If you create a standard definition 720x540 slideshow wont the projector just scale it to 1024x764??? You would lose a bit of quality but that is all.

What Premiere Elements project settings would be needed?

Do you really need to transfer via a video DVD ? Could you

--- use a USB flash drive or a Data DVD containing the WMV file to transfer to the laptop:

--- then transfer that file to the laptop hard drive and

--- then play from the laptop (it is a Windows laptop?) connected to the projector using Windows Media Player?

Although you'll likely need a pretty powerful computer to run a hi-def WMV file!



On the other hand, ProShow Gold will give you a great computer slideshow with your photos is very close to native resolution.

Yes Rob. For simplicity of discussion, I suggest that



output the WMV file from PE 4 to the PC hard drive and THEN use whatever method desired to transfer the wmv file to the laptop hard drive



be the process discussed if Robert wishes to continue to use Premiere Elements for this task.
